GST Registration in India

All persons involved in the supply of goods or services are required to register for GST under the new tax regime of the Goods and Services Tax. Non-registered businesses will be unable to collect GST from consumers or receive input tax credits (ITC) on inbound supplies. The GST Council has set a threshold of 20 lakhs of turnover as the threshold for GST registration. However, it is ten lakhs in the northeastern states. The registration must be completed within 30 days of the threshold limit being reached. Aggregate Turnover refers to all supplies made by a taxable individual, whether on his own or on behalf of a principal, for GST purposes. The turnover of supplies under job work, on the other hand, will not be included in the turnover of a registered job worker. Even if registration is done online, it is exceedingly difficult and should only be done by professionals.
